As a professional in the social and healthcare sector, I understand how important it is that residents in the well-being area receive sufficient and effective social and healthcare services. I want to promote equality and ensure that services are easily accessible and of high quality. I want to be involved in building a well-being area where decision-making is based on transparency and listening to the needs of the people. I am ready to work towards improving the well-being of all of Western Uusimaa!
My campaign themes
1. Sufficient and effective social and healthcare services for all
Every resident should have the right to high-quality, easily accessible social and healthcare services. I want to ensure that social and healthcare services are designed with the needs of users in mind and that resources are allocated wisely. Preventive measures and low-threshold services are key to addressing issues in a timely manner.
2. Prevention of inequality and social exclusion
I believe it is important that everyone feels like a valuable part of the community. By investing in preventive services, supporting families, and promoting the well-being of children and young people, we can prevent social exclusion and inequality. Our region needs decisions that support people’s well-being and their sense of inclusion.
3. Support for mental health and well-being
The resourcing of low-threshold mental health services, school and student health services, student welfare services, as well as services aimed at supporting the mental health and well-being of adults and seniors must be sufficient, and access to these services must be timely. Additionally, there is a need for rehabilitative and adequately supportive services for those experiencing challenging life situations, such as mental health or substance abuse issues, or those affected by domestic violence.
4. Support for children and families
Child protection and services for families with children deserve special attention. Early support for families and promoting children’s well-being are investments in the future. I want to promote family-friendly solutions that support the daily lives of families. On the other hand, it is important to allocate resources to those who need them the most. Child protection and other specialized services should be developed to better meet the needs of clients in our large well-being area.
